Bespoke Design Solutions for Football

Bringing Football to Everyone

At Copperwire Creative, it’s no secret that we are all big football fans. Martin Denton, our company founder is no exception and is actively involved in introducing football to as many girls as possible in the Pontefract area.

As the under 13s manager and vice chairman of Pontefract Wildcats Girls Football Club, which he helped to set up in 2017 alongside Steve Conboy from The West Riding County FA, there’s no one more passionate about giving the girls opportunities to enjoy football in a fun, safe and engaging way.

High on morale and club spirit, the Wildcats have quickly grown from a single team with eight girls, to eight teams across over 90 actively registered players. The team’s exponential growth in membership, and a glowing reputation for spreading a bit of happiness in today’s youth means numbers are forecast to show no signs of slowing down. England hosting the European Championships in 2022 is guaranteed to give the girls’ game a massive boost too!

Copperwire Creative’s involvement in football doesn’t just stop there though, we have delighted in creating myriad logos for the girls’ game including the iconic Pontefract Wildcats badge. Other logo designs include the league logos for the West Riding Girls Football League and the Harrogate & Junior Girls Football League. Designing the FA’s prominent ‘Respect the Referee’ logo, which is on the Junior Referee Purple shirt campaign was another proud milestone. The campaign highlights that a minor (14–18-year-old) oversees the football match with full autonomy and promotes kindness and tolerance.

West Riding County Football Association

Our diverse work in the game culminated in us becoming Graphic Design Partner with The West Riding County Football Association, who are the governing body for football in the county. As one of the largest county football associations in the country, they oversee all aspects of the game with unrivalled expertise.

Copperwire Creative are also proud to be working with Harry Jones, designing logos for new leagues and other projects. We have recently completed the West Riding Women’s Beginner League logos which are aimed at encouraging females to take up football. Since their launch a few months ago, they have had an impressive 160 plus registrations.

Our latest West Riding County Football Association logo is the new West Riding Masters Football League which is due to launch on the 22nd January 2022, with the aim of inspiring men over 45 to get back into football.

We’re honoured to be working with Harry and the team at The West Riding County FA and look forward to collaborating more with them in the future!
